Our work
Women empowerment, gender, child protection and safeguarding
Women, children and people with disabilities at the front of community development, not at its margins.
Social inclusion, economic empowerment, equality, child protection and safeguarding that establish women, children and people with disabilities on the forefront of development in their communities.
Our team, both on and off the field, works hand in hand with government, communities, local leaders and parishes.
What this covers
- Economic empowerment and savings groups for women
- Gender equality and social inclusion awareness
- Child protection training and community structures
- Safeguarding policy, reporting and response
- Accessible services for people with disabilities
How it is delivered
In partnership, on the ground
Caritas Gweru delivers this pillar with government departments, communities, local leaders, parishes and other stakeholders. Communities identify the need, local structures are trained to carry the work, and ownership stays where it belongs.
