Our work
Youth empowerment
Skills, enterprise and a place at the table for young people.
Livelihood opportunities, leadership, skills development, inclusion, participation and civic engagement with young people across the Diocese of Gweru.
The Caritas Gweru team works hand in hand with local youth, in partnership with local leaders, parishes, communities and government in intervention and implementation, ensuring sustainability and local ownership.
What this covers
- Vocational and enterprise skills training
- Youth-led income generating projects
- Leadership and civic participation
- Inclusion in community decision making
How it is delivered
In partnership, on the ground
Caritas Gweru delivers this pillar with government departments, communities, local leaders, parishes and other stakeholders. Communities identify the need, local structures are trained to carry the work, and ownership stays where it belongs.
