Safeguarding

Our safeguarding commitment

Caritas Gweru is committed to the safety and dignity of every person we work with, and particularly to children and adults at risk. Safeguarding is not a separate programme. It is a condition of every programme.

What we commit to

  • All staff, volunteers and partners are bound by our child protection and safeguarding policies
  • Communities are told how to raise a concern, and who to raise it with
  • Concerns are received in confidence and acted on
  • Reporting lines are clear, and referral to the appropriate authority is made where required
  • No one who raises a concern in good faith is disadvantaged for doing so

Raising a concern

A concern can be raised with any Caritas Gweru staff member, with the diocesan office in person, by phone on Phone: +263 54 222 4405 Mobile: +263 77 357 4989, or by email to info@caritasgweru.co.zw. Please give as much detail as you are comfortable giving. You do not need to be certain that something is wrong before you report it.

Our policies

The safeguarding policy, child protection policy and complaints and feedback mechanism are listed on the Resources page.
